In therapy, the therapist establishes a therapeutic relationship that is the crux of all change, is non-judgmental and supportive. Clients take responsibility for their own change. The therapist will not directly tell the client what to do, they merely highlight patterns of behaviour or thoughts that may be causing distress. These discussions and observations take place to elicit deeper awareness and understanding in the client about themselves. The therapist will suggest techniques and methods that the client may use towards their progress.
Therapy is; Voluntary. Confidential.
